Not far from Ramla Bay there is another sandy beach.

It’s San Blas Bay, the little sister.

Smaller and much more difficult to get to, for this reason maybe it’s not for everybody.

Easy to reach for most of the trip: simply take Triq San Blas from Nadur and follow the road. Look at the map:

Problems start where you see the arrow on the map. As the featured photo shows,  the beach can be reached only via a steep country road. Very steep. No suitable for all cars (when you have to travel back uphill). In summer there is a jeep service for €2 but not in April.

There are very few parking spaces, so I suppose in full summer it could be problem to leave your car at the top of the last downhill. There is more space near San Blas garden, few hundred meters before.

The beach is small but very nice.  It’s worth the effort.  The steep road  discourages many people making San Blas Bay a very peaceful place.

I love to seat on a stone looking the bay from the steep road. Not in full summer of course 🙂
